DirectBuy Seen on CNBC’s “The Profit”
September 3, 2015
DirectBuy and one of our newest furniture partners, Grafton Furniture, were recently featured on an episode of “The Profit” that aired Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 9 p.m. and midnight CST on CNBC.
On the episode, Marcus Lemonis helps Grafton Furniture, a family furniture business in Miami by investing $1.5 million in exchange for 45% of the business and full financial control. He elevated Grafton’s operations into a state-of-the-art factory with upgraded machinery and decided Grafton, which specializes in high-end, custom niche pieces, needed to expand their clientele. As part of that process, Grafton created a new line of “quick ship,” non-custom furniture as part of The American Dream Collection.
Marcus set up a meeting with DirectBuy and Grafton at the DirectBuy headquarters to pitch Grafton’s American Dream Collection. “This [DirectBuy] is a national retailer, so this gives us a chance to business all over the country,” said Marcus on the episode. “Getting this meeting today was a great opportunity for us.”
Not only was a partnership with DirectBuy and Grafton established on the episode, we also invited Grafton to our annual vendor tradeshow to showcase their new products. Mike Bornhorst, the CEO of DirectBuy said, “I think it’s a wonderful partnership for the future.”
